Newmarket Town Administrator Edward Wojnowski hosts this bi-monthly program about various topics effecting the Town of Newmarket, NH. Past shows have included discussions on the Town Budget, the Lamprey Health Center, Fuel Assistance, Single-Stream Recycling and the COAST public transit system.

NEWMARKET VETERANS FORUM
Airs every Friday Night @7pm

A series of programs created by the Newmarket Veterans Trust Memorial Committee featuring discussions with Newmarket Veterans recalling their experience during their time of service to our country. Currently there are 18 episodes of this series featuring Veterans of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam Conflict.  Some programs also feature special memorial readings for deceased veterans read by members of that Veterans family or by members of the Veterans Committee.

SATURDAY CINEMA DOMAIN
Saturday Evenings @ 7pm

Each week Newmarket Channel 13 serves up two classic films from the past that are in the public domain. These are often forgotten gems features famous actors who may not have been so at the time of the making of the picture. Other features may be well known works that for whatever reason fell into the public domain. All films are presented uncut and uninterrupted with no filler or wacky host chatter.

LIFE ON THE HOMEFRONT

A special presentation of the Newmarket Veterans Memorial Trust Committee which featured a round table discussion of life here in Newmarket during World War II by those who lived during that time.

The New Hampshire Way: Local Control and the American Revolution

UNH professor Jack Resch speaks on the subject of the role of New Hamphire in our country’s battle for independence in a Lecture that was held in the Newmarket Town Hall Auditorium on Patriot’s Day 2009.

HISTORICAL SOCIETY SPECIALS

During the Spring though to the Fall the Newmarket Historical Society meets at the historical Stone School on Granite St here in Newmarket, NH. On the forth Monday each month (March – November) they offer various pieces of historical programming on various topics that cover the historic past of the Town of Newmarket, NH and other subjects of interest.

Occasionally we will record one of these events when either a volunteer or staff is available to cover them, they are then broadcast on Newmarket Channel 13.

SAVE OUR TOWN CLOCK

A special documentary program produced by Channel 13 Staffer Chris Williams and hosted by the Newmarket’s “Keeper of the Town Clock” Robert Gazda. Mr Gazda takes viewers on a rare tour of the Newmarket Town Clock which is housed in the Newmarket Community Church on Main St. The program also features a very special tour of the watch shop once operated by his father Walter A. Gazda on Packers Falls Rd. in Newmarket, NH.

GROWING A BOUNTIFUL VEGETABLE GARDEN

A special lecture given Carl Deame (UNH Co-operative Extension) on the subject of vegetable growing in New Hampshire. This lively interactive dialogue was presented by the Newmarket Gardeners and held in the Newmarket Town Hall Auditorium.  (click here to view)

The Lamprey on the Horizon: Current and Future Issues Focused on the Lamprey River

This event which was presented by Lamprey River Advisory Committee and the Lamprey River Watershed Association featured three short presentations that highlighted the dangers of too much water, preparing for change, and the power of caring. Speakers included: Cameron Wake, research associate professor with the Institute for the Study of Earth, Oceans, and Space at the University of New Hampshire;  Sally Soule, NH Dept. of Environmental Services’ Watershed Assistance Section and Paul Gasowski of Wonder Lake Media, who’s video production about Mary Folsom Blair and the park named in her honor in Epping was also shown.
